Abstract

The Council of Europe Advisory Council is made up of 30 representatives from youth NGOs and networks who provide opinions and input on all youth sector activities. It also ensures that young people are involved in other activities of the Council of Europe. A number of documents are listed below:
  • English & French 2012 - Youth Event Final Conclusions - The event in 2012 on “Young people’s access to rights: development of innovative youth policies” provided an opportunity to discuss and formulate opinions about young people’s access to rights with concrete proposals presented. The Conclusion of the Youth Event (French) is available and a fuller final report, including the Conclusion of the Youth Event is available in English.
  • English 2015 - 2016‐2017 Priorities of the Council of Europe’s Youth Sector - The strategic priorities for each biennial programme of the youth sector are defined by the Joint Council on Youth, which is the central co‐managed political body of the youth sector. Three priorities are outlined: participation in democratic processes; access to rights and young people’s autonomy; intercultural dialogue and peace‐building.
