Global Changemakers exists as a world-wide youth network of social entrepreneurs, community activists and advocates between the ages of 16 and 25. Global Changemakersexists as a world-wide youth network of social entrepreneurs, community activists and advocates between the ages of 16 and 25. Its self-stated mission is:

“To empower youth to catalyse positive social change by providing them with skills, contacts, opportunities and a community of like-minded people pursuing the same goals.”

Global Changemakersoffers support, in the form of seed funding and mentoring, to grassroots projects designed and run by youngChangemakers.This vibrant community, bringing together individuals and groups from over one-hundred-and-twenty countries, is a nurturing environment in which to ‘share experiences, build skills, apply and test ideas and access some truly amazing opportunities’.

Global Changemakershave enabled young people to lead innovative community projects from the front; helping them to shape policy; and encouraging them to speak truth to power through accessing institutions and platforms such as the World Economic Forum.

The projects supported byGlobal Changemakers,as demonstrated in the embedded video above,are varied; expanding across a range of development topics - from advocacy and awareness-raising on issues such as climate change, HIV/AIDS and gender equality through to projects that confront social challenges like hunger, poverty and unemployment.
