Archiving youth outcomes

Global forums and structures have been producing outcome documents and communiques for decades and little have been curated and analysed.

As part of our global resources library BYC will archive outcome documents from key international youth events over the past 20 years. A summary of the context and what happened next will be sought from the contributors.

One blog on youthpolicy.org said of outcome documents,

“It is limited in its life span and as a stand-alone policy wish list, joins a mass of documents and youth texts, which have all made little or no impact on policy, nor on the lives of youth around the world.”

Or have they?

The first step is to build an archive of all international youth outcome documents and then analyse them to find out what has changed as a result of young people’s voice on the world stage, how does this inform future participation and what can we learn.
